  1. PACHISI

  3. Pachisi is an ancient chase or race 
  4. game, thought to be hundreds of years
  5. old. There are many variations of 
  6. Pachisi played around the world today.
  7. The game presented here, to the best 
  8. of my knowledge, is played in and
  9. around India.
  10.  
  11. Each player tries to get all four of 
  12. their pieces from the starting position 
  13. to the finish position in the center 
  14. of the board. Each players starting 
  15. location is on a different "arm" of 
  16. the board, which looks like a cross. 
  17. Each starting location is designated 
  18. with a black triangle, pointing in a 
  19. clockwise direction around the board, 
  20. which shows the direction that the 
  21. play travels.
